Your Natural Bites bakery (Instagram | Facebook | Website) will be opening inside the retail space in Audubon Park formerly occupied by Blue Bird Bake Shop at 3122 Corrine Drive (MAP). The space is two doors down from Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream and across the street from East End Market.
Opening day is set for August 31st.
Your Natural Bites is a bakery specializing in sweets that are gluten free, sugar free, and artificial sweetener free. Lactose free options will also be available. Items for sale will include cakes, cookies and brownies.
Owner Flor Carrero shared the following statement with The Daily City: "My life changed in 2017, after I was diagnosed with Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity. I discovered that by removing gluten from my diet, I was able to overcome symptoms that had accompanied me for years, such as: diarrhea, stomach pain, migraine, gas and depression . Since then, I firmly believe that food is our best medicine and that we all have the same ability and power to stay healthy, young and evolve to our best version without anxiety or obsessions."
Two other businesses, Miami based donut and coffee purveyor The Salty Donut and new coffee shop Lobos Coffee Roaster, are also working towards an opening in Audubon Park. Both are currently under construction.
