Orlando Halloween 2020 - The Haunted Road Contactless Drive Thru Event in the Works

With Halloween Horror Nights canceled, Spooky Empire canceled, and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party canceled, what will lovers of Halloween to do in 2020?

Stay in their cars and scream, that's what!

Three local theme park and theme entertainment professionals are putting together an immersive car-bound drive-thru physically distanced contactless Halloween experience this Fall called The Haunted Road (Website | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter)

The event will feature a mix of theatrical storytelling, twisted creatures, an original storyline and unexpected scares in its all drive-thru scenes, for a night of scares from the comfort of your car.

The original storyline will present familiar characters in new scary scenarios.

"As guests drive through each nightmarish scene, they’ll be immersed into a ghastly rendition of an untold story of Rapunzel as she journeys into a world of disarray, faces bloodcurdling creatures – and hundreds of shocking scares."

A family-friendly version of the event will also be available during the daytime on select weekends.

The event is being brought to life by a local team with lots of experience in themed and live entertainment:

  • Jessica Mariko, creator of DRIP, an immersive theatrical dance/rock show with a successful five-year run on I-Drive.

  • Nick Graves, writer, producer and director who worked with Walt Disney Entertainment for over 23 years, and most recently as Live Entertainment Director and Associate Producer for B Morrow Productions.

  • Jeremy Crawford, creative director and avid Halloween fan. After working as an art director at Universal Orlando for many years, he started his own business focusing on conceptual design, art direction and graphics of theme park rides, attractions, shows and other entertainment experiences.

Admission tickets will start at $15 per person.

Dates and location have not been announced yet.

Those who wish to perform in the event can attend auditions August 13-16th. Details can be found on the event's website.

The event organizers will also be launching a Kickstarter campaign soon to help bring the event to life.
