The new location is Goodwill’s third new opening this year following ones in Viera and Lady Lake.
40 new jobs were created and the store is still hiring.
Ninety percent of revenue from Goodwill’s retail sales directly benefits the nonprofit’s job skills and employment placement programs, which provide career counseling, vocational training and other resources to Central Floridians.
The Lake Nona store will incorporate the same health and safety precautions currently in place at Goodwill’s other locations: plexiglass partitions at registers, one-way aisles and limited capacity. Employees will be instructed to wear face masks and gloves. Dressing rooms will be closed, and as a result, the return policy will be extended to 14 days.
