Colonial Gardens LLC has requested annexation of the property at 4919 W Colonial Drive (MAP) to the City of Orlando, GMP amendment to Urban Activity Center, and Zoning Initial designation of Urban Activity Center, to allow for the conversion of hotel rooms on the property into a 216-unit multifamily project called Colonial Gardens.
The property was purchased May 11, 2018 for $3,424,000 by a company in Sarasota called Colonial Gardens LLC.
The hotel, called Magnolia At 50 Extended Stay, was built in 1973.
The request is anticipated to go before the Municipal Planning board August 20th.
