City's New "Permitting Express" Program Helps Ivanhoe Eyeglass Shop

Oxford Eyes is nestled in Swanson’s Ivanhoe Row, a collection of specialty retail and small businesses located directly across from Lake Ivanhoe at Gaston Park.

Oxford Eyes, a boutique eyewear shop, opened June 14th in the Swanson’s Ivanhoe Row shopping strip in Ivanhoe Village. Mayor Buddy Dyer and Commissioner Robert Stuart were present for the occasion.

Oxford Eyes carries eyewear brands including LINDBERG, Ray-Ban, Jimmy Choo, Costa Del Mar, Maui Jim and Tom Ford, among others. It offers prescription and non-prescription sunglasses and eyeglasses, contact lenses for men, women and children, eyewear adjustments and accessories, sports eyewear, as well as vintage eyewear and accessories. Oxford Eyes also offers “Doggles,” goggles for dogs, and accessories such as purses and SunCovers.

Oxford Eyes was one of the first small businesses to participate in the City of Orlando’s Permitting Express initiative. The new Permitting Express program ensures small businesses have a team of experts to proactively navigate the process of opening new or expanded businesses in a shorter amount of time while avoiding common roadblocks.

Permitting Express is open to qualifying small businesses (5,000 sq. ft. or less) and organizations that meet the program parameters will be automatically added into a queue to work with the Permitting Express team. For more information, contact Traci Elliott at 407-246-2803.
