Not a Food Hall. A Public Market.
A 32-vendor 9,000 sq ft indoor public market featuring mostly food vendors (so far) called Mount Dora Marketplace (Facebook) is coming to downtown Mount Dora in late summer inside two buildings connected by an alley at 100 E. 4th Ave (MAP) and 334 N. Donnelly Street according to Daily Commercial and Growthspotter.
The owners call the location of the project, which is at the corner of 4th and Donnelly Street, "the Times Square of Mount Dora."
The project sounds similar to The Packing Plant coming to Winter Garden, East End Market in Orlando and Oxford Exchange in Tampa. All three projects feature multiple uses within an adaptive reuse scenario.
Central Florida has been receiving announcements left and right for large scale projects featuring multiple tenants in both existing and new construction buildings, but most have focused solely on food. Our Orlando Food Hall Guide maps out all the known projects as the writing of this piece.
Expected opening of the Mount Dora Marketplace is August 2019.
