Mall at Millenia Unveils Nick Cave Promotional Window Display


Mall at Millenia at 4200 Conroy Road recently unveiled a new window display on the first floor of the mall inside the former Teavana storefront promoting Orlando Museum of Art's upcoming show Nick Cave Feat. The art show runs September 14 - December 30 at the museum's main campus at 2416 N. Mills Ave.


Chicago-based artist Nick Cave produces sculpture, installation, video and performance art with large amounts of color and texture.


The opening night party is September 14th, 6:30-8:00pm ($10 admission) and doubles as the opening night party for another new show at OMA “Purvis Young and His Angels." Guests can enjoy a cash bar and complimentary soft drinks, as well as an opportunity to meet artist Nick Cave. A plated dinner event called "Dinner in the Galleries" follows the party. Nick Cave will be present.


The execution of the window promotion is flawless. A long white wall zig zags across the space, cutting most of the store from view. The blaring, velvety rich colors of Cave's work are printed on the wall in a gooey slo-mo drip with extremely bright light showing them off. The show's fat font title floats front and center on the right window.
