Complete Streets Coming to Longwood

Safer biking is coming to Longwood's Ronald Regan Blvd thanks to something called Complete Streets. The changes will include buffered bike lanes and more on-street parking.

The Florida Department of Transportation has selected a contracor and has stated they intend to start construction on the Ronald Regan Complete Streets project in May.

Join FDOT representatives and City of Longwood officials to learn about construction timelines, anticipated construction impacts, and more. There will be a brief presentation and an opportunity to ask questions directly to FDOT staff.

The Ronals Regan Blvd Complete Streets project will reduce median and lain widths to shorten the crossing distance at Church Ave and Ronald Regan Blvd, add buffered bike lanes, and add more than 40 on-street parking spaces to support local businesses.

The meeting is Tuesday May 15th in the Longwood City Commission Chambers at 175 W. Warren Ave., Longwood.
