BATL, the Backyard Axe Throwing League, Opening November 15th

We told you in August that BATL - the Backyard Axe Throwing League, the oldest urban indoor ace throwing experience in the country, was opening a location in downtown Orlando.

The business has announced (Hat tip to the fine folks at Bungalower!) that it will open its doors to the public November 15th with a grand opening party 7pm to 11pm which will include free axe throwing, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food & drinks, and a chance to win prizes.

The venue is located on W. Pine Street next door to 7-11 on the backside of the apartment building at 55 W Church Street.

If you can't make the party, try axe throwing for free at BATL Friday, November 22 from 7 – 11pm.

At BATL, coaches are on hand to instruct those who have never thrown an axe before, as well as offer tips on technique for more experienced throwers. According to the company's website, guests throw in a common area with other guests, and "may need to make allowance for shared space based on friendly guidance from (the) BATL coach.

This is Downtown Orlando's second axe-throwing venue. The first is called Epic Axe Throwing, which we told you about July 2018. It's located at 47 E. Robinson Street (MAP) Suites 104 & 105.

And don't leave out Winter Park! Two doctors are bringing an axe throwing venue to Winter Park on the former site of a strip club.
