Monday, September 21 will mark the soft opening of the Winter Park branch of Axiom Bank (Website | Facebook) at 862 Orlando Avenue (MAP).
Axiom Bank, started in 1963, is the first Black-owned financial institution in FloridaIt also has its roots in Orlando. It opened its first location at 715 South Goldwyn Avenue (MAP). The bank back then was originally called Washington Shores Savings and Loan. The bank's Goldwyn branch still operates out of that original location.
The 4,000 SF Winter Park branch contains three offices, a large community space, teller line and conference room. The decor features wall art from local photographer Steven Madow.
The branch will offer concierge services including curbside services and no-contact drive thru services.
On September 21, the first 50 customers receive free lunch from next door restaurant Hummus House. Other specials and surprises will be handed out and promoted.
Hours will be Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.
