Two Doctors to Bring Axe Throwing Trend to Winter Park

An ordinance was approved by Winter Park City Council recently for the sale of the property 2600 Lee Road (MAP), former site of the now-demolished Club Harem strip club, The purchasers are two doctors: Dr. Manuel Perez and Dr. David Varnagy (MAX3D LLC). One chain called Urban Axes has locations in Philadelphia, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati and Durham. Tampa already has two.

The purchase price according to City documents is $950,000. The city paid $990,000 for the property in 2015, higher than market value at the time. A UCF report says that property values are up 14% according to Commissioner Cooper. Commissioner Weaver
