4 New Disney Food Trucks

4 new Disney food trucks have made their debut at Walt Disney World during a test run at the Dolphin & Swan Resort, home to the restaurant Il Mulino.

As you can see, they're very different from the huge over-designed theme-hogging cafeteria busses seen at Disney Springs.

These are teensy itty bitty trailers with no wraps and very little signage. The hitch is in clear view of guests. Each looks about the same size.

#thinkregional Drive out to Winter Springs for Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria

By Mark BaratelliHashtag Creator Du Jour
Everyone has the potential to stuck in a downtown-centric culture run, thinking the only way to experience authentic and real anything it to go downtown. To avoid this, please consider taking on a #thinkregional attitude. This will expand your idea of what is available to you for culture and food and make you think of your city as not just your city, but the cities around it. Where your city is located with regards to other cities is just as important as what exists inside your city's boundaries.
Here's one reason to #thinkregional for dinner and lunch.
Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria (Web | Facebook | Twitter) opened its first Orlando-area location at 1468 Tuskawilla Rd #1020, Winter Springs, FL 32708.
This is how we learned about it. We were on a panel at NPR about local food along with Tastychomps' Editor Ricky Ly (web) and Food personality and educator Emily Ellyn (web) when the owner of Bavaros, who was in the a…

Digital Artist Rob McCaffrey Shows Living Photographs at Valencia This Fall

Digital Artist Rob McCaffrey uses augmented overlays to explore emotional realities hidden in printed photographs in his latest show “Living Photographs: Augmented Reality in Art."

Watch the video here
Valencia College (Website) will host this exhibit Aug. 15 through Oct. 2 at the East Campus (701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail) in the Anita S. Wooten Gallery (Building 3, room 112).
Opening reception is Friday, Sept. 11, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the gallery with a lecture to follow at 7:30 p.m.

McCaffrey earned an MFA in motion picture, television and recording arts from Florida State University in 1999. He saw his first example of augmented reality at a 2006 convention for the National Association of Broadcasters. There, he spotted a 3-D model of a car featured alongside a printed magazine ad for the same vehicle. Today, McCaffrey uses those dual concepts to explore alternative realities of photographs.

Amazon Grocery Store #BringToOrlando

Someone's building an 11,600 sq ft thing at 777 Sunnyvale Saratoga Road in Sunnyvale California, and some people think it's an Amazon spot to pick up groceries you ordered online. Could be true. There is Amazon Fresh, but that's grocery delivery. But why would Amazon build a place to pick up groceries if they could just do delivery and avoid the real estate cost? The Silicon Valley Business Journal says "...real estate sources familiar with Amazon’s concept said Amazon is the likely tenant..." We'd love some developer to bring it to Orlando! (Source)
