Because thinking of things to talk about while drinking is a chore, here comes Drunken Problem Solving to save your night. Based on the model innovated by Future Problem Solving, the international school competition, DPS challenges teams to put their thinking caps on, but, you know, while drinking.
The rules are simple: The host delivers a news story about a major change in the future. It could be about a mission to another planet. Or it could be about the first sex robot to be arrested for assault. Or it could be about scientists making the world’s first working hypno-coin. Whatever it is, each team then has 20 minutes to come up with 10 possible problems.
(Examples: How could we make sure the space colonists don’t start firing weapons back at Earth? How will we stop robots from digging out of prison? What will become of all the unemployed hypnotists when everyone can make their neighbor think they’re a ch…
The 21 member artists of McRae Art Studios (Web) will welcome art lovers and collectors to a free Spring Open House from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, May 1 at 904 Railroad Ave. Suite 200, in Winter Park. This is the oldest and largest artist collective in Central Florida. The public is invited to meet and talk to artists in their studios, look at over 1,000 pieces of art including paintings, prints, photographs, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry and pottery.
Art In Odd Places 2015 Call to Artists Art in Odd Places (AiOP) is a thematic annual festival that presents visual and performance art in public spaces along 14th Street in Manhattan, NYC from Avenue C to the Hudson River each October. The Messiah Choral Society (Web | Twitter) is hosting a free public sing-along of Handel's "Messiah" on Friday, April 10th, 2015 at the First Congregational Church of Winter Park, 225 S. Interlachen Avenue, at 7:30 p.m. Loaner scores will be available, and members will also be willing to share. Their chorusmaster, Karen Lecky-Springer, and accompanist Kristine Griffin will lead participants in selections from Handel's masterwork, known for the "Hallelujah Chorus" along with other familiar melodies.
The Messiah Choral Society is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 1973 which has given a free performance of Handel's "Messiah" every year since - the longest running free cultural arts performance in Central Florida. The organization is open to all singers and remains dedicated to providing access and exposure to this masterwork to all Central Floridians regardless of ability to pay.

Over a year later, we told you the Disney Springs Starbucks started serving this new menu. On March 24, 2015, we experienced the wine service and got photos of the food offerings available (after 4pm!) at the Starbucks in Disney Springs.
"Chef's Night" is a "Catering for Good" dinner series that brings top chefs into Second Harvest Food Bank's Community Kitchen to celebrate delicious food and raise money for a good cause. The cost of "Chef’s Night" is $75.00 and is all-inclusive. Proceeds from this dinner series goes to the Second Harvest Community Kitchen supporting the culinary education program that helps put Central Floridians back to work.
