By Ken Storey

To celebrate the ushering in of the Year of the Snake the Dragon Parade Lunar New Year Festival will take place in Mills50 on February 10th, 2013.  The festival will take place in the Colonial Photo and Hobby parking lot from 10:45am through 4pm. A community parade along Hillcrest Street from Hampton Ave to Mills Ave at 11am will help kick off the festival.  Other events such as Dragon and Lion dances, martial arts performances, cultural dance performances, and plenty of Asian food and arts.  For pictures from last year's parade and festival make sure to check out this G+ album.

THIS is why The Daily City is so much nicer to read than the Sentinel! The Sentinel would have reported on this having happened two days ago instead of making it easy to plan to actually GO to the event.

I know that isn't always the case, but too often it is.

GO Daily City!
