Local Producer to Put on 13 Creative Works in 2013

Local Producer Joseph Reed Hayes has challenged himself with the task of putting on thirteen events in 2013. He calls it "13 in 13." If you think you'll be busy this year, look what he will be doing in his self-described "year of living creatively":
  • 5 live jazz shows
  • 2 live plays
  • 1 photo exhibit
  • 1 movie screening
  • 1 spoken word performance
  • 1 live radio drama
  • 2 lecture/workshops
The projects involve many people, all paid: 19 musicians, 11 actors, 8 directors and theatre techs, 4 writers, 1 chef, 1 sound effects person and, as Hayes puts it "technology galore" and $7,000 which will be raised through Kickstarter.

Videos, audio recordings, photo books and posters will be created for each of the 13 events, and most will be open to the public (some at no charge).

Many of them will be streamed online. He has experience with this after doing is 2012 live-streamed play "A Little Crazy" from his house.

The Events:
