I don't know if you'll post this comment, but Daniel was easily the funniest person on this show. Every person that has left the Monsters (aside from Jeff & Bubba) has directly said that Russ was the reason they left.
Good luck to Daniel, but the Monsters are a sinking ship.
Russ asks the radio station to let one of his fellow cast members go? Is that what you're saying?
No, I'm saying that Russ is a major reason why people have left. Savannah, Tuddle, Blackbean & Daniel have all directly (or passive-aggressively) said that he was responsible.
Horrible move by CC. Daniel was such a massive radio talent and it absolutely sucks that he is gone.
Anyone else having problems getting the audio to play? Do you have a backup source?
The Monsters are going to be awful now, Daniel made the show, Russ hardly seemed affected that his show lost it's best piece.
I wish Daniel could go against the Monsters in Orlando. Russ' ego is such a turnoff.
I like DJ and Tom though.
Here's the scary part - does Russ put Tom Vann's nut in a vice and say no show members can do outside shows, i.e., no Mediocre Time. That's a hard decision when it's your pay check and prob a decision DD wouldn't let him make.
Russ won't kill a mediocre time because he knows that soo many monster fans listen to it. Then again, he is a total fool for letting his ace get fired...so who knows?
Its going to be the old Russ and Bo show all over again. We'll have to listen on AM!

Not true! Russ is NOT the reason some of us left THE MONSTERS over the years. I was the original producer ("Fluffy") and left for a position with sister-station Magic 107.7. Daniel is a great guy. Talented. I'm sure he'll find a good situation soon. He is a talent that will be missed... but it will alliw the opportunity for another talented individual to join the team. -Rich Kennedy
Seem's Rollins was being "buddy buddy" with callers this morning. The entire show was boring.
Russ has been a sinking ship for a LONG time. Dirty Jim will go to the Philips Phile when Jim retires and now Daniel and Drunky can go and do their own thing....it is about time. Russ is just so gross.

Russ is full of himself. Always has been. "Drunky" is not funny. Dirty Jim is funny and is the only talent left on the show. The portions on Monday involving Mark are also getting old - hard to listen to someone whose photos look so fake try to be "real". Guess it is time to listen to BTLS.
i dont think russ is the reason for others leaving. some of the members that have been mentioned are their own reason for leaving. i will miss dd he was totally funny and was always on the spot. Deeply missed.
Well, I have listened to the end of the 08-21-12 Podcast(starting at about 174 mins in) and there's some serious issues here. I applaud DD for standing up to someone who is an obvious narcissistic control freak. However, DD paid the ultimate price for his integrity. The host is a non-contributor who thinks it's more important that listeners know his vacation itinerary than be entertained with good talent. The show and the entire station (after the recent layoffs) is tanking increasing the play of cheap "classic Rock" instead of paying for quality productions. There's too much better stuff out there to listen to anymore.
