Kennedy Space Center screening Forbibben Planet this Saturday in Rocket Garden and on Space Station

This Saturday, October 18th, Kennedy Space Center is partnering with Turner Classic Movies and DIRECTV to host a special free screening of the 1956 classic 'Forbidden Planet'   The event hosted in the famous Rocket Garden will start at 7:30P.M. and will be hosted by TCM's own Ben Mankiewicz along with Kennedy Space Center Director Robert Cabana.  Along with the screening in the rocket garden the film will also be broadcast simultaneously to the International Space Station.  The event is free but does require tickets, that you can get by clicking here, and lawn chairs are encouraged.  There will also be free parking, popcorn, and soda at the event.  Recent Spacewalk record holder Astronaut Sunita Williams will introduce the film.
