Dancing Doll Coppelia Performs Saturday

Vadim Fedotov’s unique interpretation of  the classic ballet Coppelia is a sentimental comic ballet that premiered in 1870 at the Theatre Imperial de l’Opera in Paris, France. Young Franz falls in love with a beautiful lady reading by a window, which upsets his fiancee, Swanhilda. Determined to fight for her love, Swanhilda visits the mysterious house of the stranger lady to find out that the object of her fiancee’s love is only a doll, created and deeply treasured by the mad Doctor Coppelius. The ballet conveys the story of love and forgiveness with the precision of Fedotov’s choreography and is a great entertainment for the entire family.

Tomorrow night, ahead of its home game against the Richmond Kickers (that's the best you guys could do, name wise?), Orlando City soccer club will be celebrating Faith and Family Night. From 6.30pm, there'll be live music from Stefan Otto, King’s Offspring and Body of One Music, plus a live art demonstration from Evoke.

The match kicks off at 7.30pm. City won the United Soccer League last year, and will need the ongoing support of the Orlando community at the Citrus Bowl to go from strength to strength. They're top of the league, but it's still early in this season. Go Lions!
