The Daily City had the chance to have an interview with an emerging T-Shirt company called Suite 230 Clothing. Have a look at their products, story, and see what Suite 230 Clothing has in stores for themselves.

Being students how do you find time to work on your brand?

Many times it requires that we make sacrifices in our daily college lives, but we have done a good job on spacing out our school schedules and using all of our free time efficiently. Much of the work we do is fun and in a high energy environment so we look forward to working on the brand any moment we get.

Where do you see Suite 230 going after you both graduate UCF?

We see Suite 230 continuing to become a well-known name in the Orlando area and expanding from there once we graduate. We anticipate that we will have new lines of designs coming out at least once a year, with special releases and other products in between. Eventually, we see Suite 230 becoming a reputable brand name in the fashion industry, particularly in the t-shirt industry to start.

What other products/lines do you plan on launching?

While we want to keep Suite 230 Clothing and all of the other brands we do small, we would really like to move towards the more high-end market. T-shirts are a great start and will most likely always be a passion of ours, but to be able to create wearable art that people appreciate from different fabrics would also be a wonderful challenge.

Beyond selling online, we are seeing more "home-based swap and shop" parties and "fashion trucks" beginning to pop up. Do you see yourselves getting into this trend?

We are not totally against part-taking in that trend but we tend to do things differently from the usual. We do plan to throw consumer launch events every so often to generate sales and promotion, but we tend to do things a little more unconventionally. We like to see what our target market likes to do, and plan an event or set-up a sales front that incorporates that culture.

What designers have inspired the both of you?

There are many different things, people and places that have inspired us along the way and continue to do so. We have to pay homage to all the indipendent t-shirt brands that came before us, but as far as fashion designers goes, it's probably Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabanna. Because what they've done on and off the runway is truly unique, especially McQueen.
