Crystal Castles at Firestone Live

How are your energy levels on a typical Thursday night? If they're anything less than one thousand percent, then you're in trouble. Toronto's Crystal Castles are coming to town, and this is not going to be a show for the shy, the retiring or the lethargic. The band's vocalist and focal point is called Alice Glass and she is known to pour whiskey into fans' mouths, spend half the show in the audience, and punch the occasional miscreant.

As for the music itself? Ultra high energy, a bit like being at a rave somewhere in the Mediterranean, at four in the morning, with a pretty girl screaming incomprehensibly over the pounding beats and keyboards. All with a blistering visual set up, including strobe lights that would make a glass eye explode.

What I'm saying is: Crystal Castles are amazing and this show will be insane.

Crystal Castles play the Firestone Live next Thursday 9/9, with support from Bear in Heaven and Diddles.
