I caught the soft opening of the brand new Blue Bird Bake Shop Sunday July 25, 2010 in the Audubon Park district. This adorable shop owned by couple Jeff and Joel, is a stunning addition to not only the neighborhood but to the city. They're grand opening is Saturday, July 31st!
We fell in love with BBBS cupcakes at PomPoms, so we already know they rock. At the new shop, they're also carrying muffins, scones, coffee and will soon slowly roll out sandwiches and salads.

We JUST drove past there on Thursday to see if they had opened yet but the paper was still up...So excited to visit (and get Red Velvet cupcakes)!

When do they open?
You mentioned every decorating detail, but failed to tell us what flavor cupcakes you took pictures of and tried.
They told me their official opening date and I forgot. Sorry. I believe it was in the next week or so.
Our Grand Opening is this Saturday, July 31st!
Are they open between now and the grand opening?
Keep your eyes open on our storefront location as we may open a couple more days at various times to continue with our soft opening.
