How To Participate
67 Books is a weeklong performance art event taking place on the overhang of Orlando Public Library, involving 67 Orange County Library System (OCLS) cardholders, selected through an online lottery, reading aloud for one hour at a time, any book they choose from the OCLS collection. The number 67 corresponds to the number of hours Orlando Public Library is open in the span of one week.
67 Books is an independent production of Brian Feldman Projects in celebration of National Library Week. The event is supported through the in-kind donations of area businesses and has not been paid for by the Orange County Library System.

Wouldn't it have been a nice idea to have a reading at a different branch of OCLS each day? (The downtown branch is too dangerous a location.)
It might be streaming online live when the event happens, so maybe you can watch it and not have to go to that location you feel uncomfortable about.
being solicited for loose change outside the downtown library isn't actually any more dangerous than driving in your car through traffic to a different location. (just an opinion)
@Jessica | True, in a fact-ish, logical kind of way. But, facts and logic are sometimes outweighed by the emotion of being panhandled when one is not used to it. I understand both sides.
