Downtown

Downtown Orlando, Florida has the Downtown Arts District and the Downtown Development Board, helping it progress MUCH faster than other hoods in the city. A movie theatre, bars, restaurants and art galleries fill the streets not taken up by hideous 1960s office buildings (Thank you urban renewal) and new condos are sprouting up along bare blocks.

City Hall


The American Federal Building (The Round Building) sits on the site of the upcoming Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center. A competition was held by Central Florida Modern to repurpose the building's brise soleil.

Wall Street is an alley of bars owned by the same company


The Sun Trust building offers shady seating and a lush green for picnic lunches




The downtown information center


Scooter shops are popping up in several neighborhoods, including downtown. This one is an art space as well.


Lake Eola Park hosts a weekly Farmers Market and an annual ice skating rink


Dave Ballentine called the downtown branch of the Orange County Library System a "homeless day care center."
