A few days ago the reminder that "the round building" downtown will be demolished elicited a fabulous link sent in by a commenter. Its the site showing the winners of the competition held last year seeking out the best idea for re-use of the brise soleil (the cement criss-cross wall at the base of the building). And wow. Just wow. I posted a few here but go explore the whole list.

I'm not sure I agree with the winner but what amazing out of the box ideas. Let's hope they do something with the Brise Soleil and it doesn't end up being dumped in a landfill...
