(one of) Orlando's ugliest houses

Isn't this a new house, too?

Oh my god, we pass that house almost every day and say the same thing every time. It was even uglier going up... and the half-assembled one just down the road, with the circular entrance (what I call "turrets syndrome") that looks like it's built of styrofoam, might even be worse if they ever finish it. Good call!

McMansion envy much?

I don't know for sure its age. Someone could look it up on one of those public realtor databases and find out.

Those details, the white skinny window and the round tiny window at the top: those are painted on.

And to be clear, I am not hating on the owners, but the architect. Good God. Someone find out who built this.

best example of ugly overbuilding i've ever seen. what a shame for our little neighborhood.

oh, and for the record of its age, it was only finished in the last 6 months

Ack! ack! ack! The worst of the mega-mansions I've seen. I doubt that a trained architect "designed" this.

How about publishing photos of some of the great buildings in the area? Let's raise the architectural bar for Orlando!

My nominations:

The gleaming metal and unique shape of the former Push ad agency building hidden away on Ernestine Street and Lucerne Terrace; The Evans Group office building at 1001 N. Orange (the modern building with rows of "house" offices and "street" hallways tucked inside); and now the wildly creative and amusing new Ferran Building that can be seen just south of downtown as you pass all too quickly on I-4.

These are just some of the underappreciated wonders designed by local architect Leonard Feinberg.

Great idea! There is some fab architecture in this city.

I really was expecting something sadder like a crackhouse in Parramore. This big house is tacky but it's well kept.
