Today I took advantage of a daily twitter special sent out by The Black Olive, a downtown restaurant in the same building as the Plaza Cinema Cafe.
The interior reminded me of The Plaza in NYC. The white chairs are the best feature. They're luscious. This was the special they tweeted: The breadsticks are free. The wine is not. Check the goblet! Huge!
I am no food critic so take it with a HUGE grain of sea salt, but here goes. My meal was simple: pasta and meat with cheese on top. Hard to judge and harder to mess up. The pasta, in my food-ignorant opinion, was WAY undercooked, as was my dining companion's. (we had the same twitter special). The breadstick was good. The wine was good. There was no side dish. I think the ambiance and the twitter special is worth the so-so food I had. I would go back and try another dish just to sit in that chair and sip from that HUGE booze goblet.

So what was your opinion about the food?
