Walk in the grocery store side of the new-ish Super Target on Colonial in the new-ish SoDo development and find THE best value for lunch: great salads from $4 to $4.50. Cheap, filling and high-quality. The next best thing is Jasons Deli, which is opening soon at the SoDo. For around $7 you get an all-you-can-eat salad bar with free ice cream and (if you sneak it) coffee.

The Target is hideous. Ignore it. The salads are worth it.

SoDo will be a fun, walkable shopping plaza in the vein of Lincoln Road and The Grove, but less touristy and flashy.

They have the coolest escalator ever. It lifts your shopping cart up.
Hideous? Um, excuse me, it's the only halfway decent development I've seen anywhere around this city.
What I said about the development: "SoDo will be a fun, walkable shopping plaza in the vein Lincoln Road and The Grove, but less touristy and flashy." I said Target is hideous, not the development.
The relation of the flap wall and columns to the pedestrians is like a flew walking past a bus.
I love the outside of this Target. It's much more interesting than the "normal" Target store.
I also love this Target because it's always empty, which is not a good thing for the business itself, but it's a major plus for me as I hate shopping with tons of people nearby!
